The Irish Basking Shark Group is an amalgamation of marine research programs and education efforts centered around the unique wildlife in Irish waters. The overarching focus of the group is to support the sustainable management of basking sharks in both Ireland and the broader northeastern Atlantic region. Much of our work has been sponsored by the generous funding opportunities provided by community outreach and scientific grants, private donations, and larger educational institutions.
If you are interested in our group or our work and are in position to support the project, please do not hesitate to contact us.
