Summer means more than just school breaks and sunshine. Here in Ireland, we also receive special visitors at this time of year. Basking sharks enter our waters as early as late March and remain, on and off, until September. Though these filter-feeding sharks pose no direct threat to humans, they are considered globally endangered. It remains important to provide them the same respect as we offer other wildlife. Follow these guidelines to best protect both animals and people, and feel free to print or digitally share these materials widely!
